On June 19, 2020 the City of Slaton changed the name of the city airport in honor of a gentleman who gave so much to the success and growth of the airport. The airport is now the City of Slaton Larry T. Neal Memorial Airport. Larry T. Neal was the airport manager for over 30 years and a valued member of our Slaton Lions Club. This is a well deserved honor. They were able to surprise many of the family members who were present for the annual fish fry. This was one of our annual fundraisers to raise money for the Slaton community which he loved.
