This year (2022) the Slaton Lions Club again gave out 3 $1500.00 Scholarships ( $4500.00 total) in memory of one of past Lion member, Jim Davis. Jim was previous owner of the Slaton Slatonite newspaper for approximately 30 years. Our small club has our unique way supporting our youth – just like Carlos’s address to the seniors said.
